Analysis
• 53 patients prospectively enrolled and independently reviewed
• Most common side effect at 24 hours post procedure was soreness at the needle insertion site (76%)
• New numbness and tingling (26%)
• Increased intensity of preprocedure back pain (15%)
• New areas of back pain (15%)

Outcome
• At 2 weeks, no patients had soreness at needle insertion site or new areas of back pain
• Significant reductions in visual analog scales for back pain and leg pain
