Physician - DC SpineWand
DC SpineWand Surgical Device:
Designed for use in the cervical spine, the DC
SpineWand uses Coblation technology to remove tissue to create pockets within the
nucleus of the intervertebral disc. The effect of tissue removal from within the
disc is hydraulic decompression of the disc.
The DC device is a single-patient use
disposable surgical device. It can not be re-sterilized or re-used.
The DC comes
in a 'Convenience Pack', which includes the SpineWand, a 19 gauge introducer needle
with leur lock for minimally invasive access into the disc and the Instructions
For Use.
The DC SpineWand is configured for use with the ArthroCare System 2000
generator. To perform the procedure using the DC SpineWand, the physician will need
the DC Convenience Pack, the System 2000 generator, a sterile patient cable, and
a foot or hand-controller.
